PocketPC Beacon is a Beacon Clock / Calculation Software for the NCDXF / IARU HF Beacon network.

It runs on all Windows CE 3.0 (or later) PocketPC devices. (MIPS and SH3 version available on request)

New V1.1 released now - includes 'QuickSync' feature. Allows you to quickly sync the application to WWV, GPS or other accurate time sources.

The NCDXF, in cooperation with the IARU, constructed and operates a worldwide network of high-frequency radio beacons on 14.100, 18.110, 21.150, 24.930, and 28.200 megaHertz. These beacons help both amateur and commercial high-frequency radio users assess the current condition of the ionosphere.

This software has the following features:

• Shows the previous / currently / next active beacon on the selected beacon frequency
• Shows distance and bearing from the user's QTH to the beacon location
• UTC Clock in hh:mm:ss formate independent from PocketPC local time settings
• Overview of the beacon network locations on a satellite world map view
• Distance units user selectable (statute miles, kilometer, nautical miles)
